Breaking the $20k/month Ceiling – How Kristen Reached Her First $40k Month and Beyond

Discover how Kristen Youngs transitioned from one-on-one software projects to a group program, reaching $40k/month and even hitting her first $70k month.

The client

Kristen Youngs, based in Texas, USA, and her partner transitioned from selling courses to providing done-for-you software development for small and medium-sized businesses. They specialized in building software applications to help SMBs save time and improve their business processes.

The challenge

Breaking the $20k/month revenue barrier was a significant challenge for Kristen and her partner, leaving them stuck at that level for over a year. The custom nature of their projects made scaling difficult, and clients felt like they were starting from scratch with each new project. They were also unsure whether their clients would pay enough, often underpricing themselves and struggling to bring in contractors due to tight budgets. Ultimately, they were burnt out from the hamster wheel of one-on-one fulfillment, with Kristen spending most of her time as “labor” rather than being the CEO.

How we helped

After joining our program, Kristen and her partner re-engineered their client approach, launching a one-to-many group program to better serve their clients. They focused on growing that program while transitioning out of one-on-one projects. In the first 90 days, they implemented strategies from our Foundations program and eventually transitioned into our Academy program for further support.

Result

Kristen broke the $20k/month ceiling and started stringing together $40k+ months without running ads. They’ve since exceeded $50k/month and even had their best month ever at $70k. Kristen successfully transitioned away from custom one-on-one work, offering a group program priced based on value while stepping into the CEO role of her business.
