My Story:
β 2004-2013: Spent a decade in traditional agencies, working with clients like Pepsi, AT&T, and NY Jets. This was with both agencies and boutique firms before finishing client side at Cabelaβs where I hired and managed large and boutique agencies to execute our strategies. Started my own agency on the side.
β 2014: Sold my house, quit my job proposed to my now wife, and went all in on my first my first agency. Failed miserably.
β 2015-2017: Pivoted and launched [System. ly](http://system.ly/), a marketing automation firm. Grew to about $60-$70k/month serving clients like Dan Martell, Jasmine Star, and Chris Ducker but felt trapped in the traditional agency model that I had just escaped. My mentor Dan told me to get out of the agency model and I did.
β 2017: In Feb, accidentally stumbled upon the AltAgencyβ’ model selling my first training and consulting offer. That offer hit a 7-figure run rate in 11 months. Wound down agency revenue to a small number of manageable clients to stay sharp.
β 2018-2019: Hit first of many six-figure months with 40%+ profit margins using the new model.
β 2020-2022: Doing $1M+ per year but team grew, margins shrank. The stress was overwhelming with constant pressure. Something had to change as I was falling out of love with how we did things.
β 2023: Downsized my team, and engineered our business model and my schedule for profit, fun, and freedom. Best profit year to date (47%), took home mid-6-figures in income, working 25 hours a week and clients have been the most happy since we started.
β 2024: Team is lean, fun, and highly profitable and doing high 6-figures in income/profit working 3-4 days per week. I take both my kids to and from school every day, mountain bike on Wednesdays and Fridays, and enjoy multiple family vacations each year. I make these videos to share how the AltAgencyβ’ model works for me and how itβs helped over 800+ other agency owners and service providers escape the trap of the traditional agency.
